About us

Based in modern, fully serviced offices on Chancery Lane at the heart of London’s legal district, we are a fee share legal consultancy with a network of consultant legal professionals providing advice to clients on most areas of law.  We act for clients on cases from petty crime to complex financial transactions.

We are a friendly firm; we believe in nurturing talent, and we encourage input and ideas from our people.  We will give the right person the freedom to grow this role and really make it their own.

About you

You will ideally be a tech savvy experienced administrator, a graduate or of graduate calibre, ideally with knowledge of Legal Aid processes and billing (but not essential as training will be given).  You will have the ability to juggle multiple changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are ever the same.  You will be confident to take full responsibility for every task you carry out, but will know when to involve the managing partner and other colleagues to address critical action points.

The role

Your duties will include:

  • File opening and closing on behalf of consultants
  • Drafting and dealing with correspondence including creating client care letters and outcome letters
  • Taking telephone enquiries and ensuring calls are diverted to the correct consultant, or messages are passed on, whichever is most appropriate
  • Assisting consultants with Legal Aid applications and administration
  • Monitoring email/website enquiry inboxes
  • Monitoring group WhatsApp chats
  • Billing – liaising with our accounts team and consultants to ensure correct processes are followed, including in respect of Legal Aid applications
  • Ensuring compliance with AML procedures
  • Maintaining office diary systems
  • Ad hoc administration using practice management software (training will be provided)
  • Scheduling police station duty rotas
  • Diarising contract renewal dates and planning ahead to ensure the managing partner has time to take action and has assistance with collating contract renewal information (gathering quotes, feedback from consultants on service levels etc)
  • Assisting Managing Partner with file compliance and gathering documents for annual regulatory audits
  • Ensuring office stationery is replenished regularly
  • Keeping firm website and social media channels up to date – working with Managing Partner, digital marketing consultant and consultants to gather content to raise the firm’s social media presence
  • Other ad hoc duties as required

This role is in office 9-5.30pm but with the possibility of occasional flexibility for the right candidate.
